The coldest weather in a long time means some changes to recess and other breaks at the Hastings-Prince Edward School board for the rest of this week.
The board, aware of temperatures in the minus 20 range, is still encouraging students to go outside at regular times if they’re properly dressed.
However, Communications Officer Kerry Donnell says any child concerned about the weather will be able to stay inside..
All schools have staff on duty during outdoor activities, to ensure no students get too cold.
