On June 21, 2016, the Military Police from the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Trenton, contacted the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Quinte West detachment and requested assistance with a death investigation.
32 year old Jasmine REID of Trenton, ON. was located deceased in her residence at CFB Trenton where she resided with her common law spouse, who is a member of 8 Wing.
The post mortem was completed this date at Ottawa Hospital. At this time, foul play is not suspected as a factor in her death.
However, the Quinte West OPP Crime Unit and Canadian Forces National Investigation Service (CFNIS), under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Rob Hagerman and Detective Staff Sergeant Rob Lake of the Criminal investigation Branch (CIB), will be continuing with this investigation.
