A special investigative team from Environment Canada is on the scene of damage caused by Sunday’s fierce storm in our area in an effort to determine whether or not it was a tornado.
Severe weather meterologist Geoff Coulson tells our newsroom there have been a number of reports of damage in the area from Stirling to Havelock to northeast to Belmont Lake.
TORNADO investigate
An 80-foot silo in the Stirling area and huge trees down in the Marmora area were the result of the storm.
Coulson says the data should be available quite soon to determine just how much damage was done across the district.
