It’s sure to be a back slappin’, hog killin’ good time at the Sears Atrium for the 2016 Belleville General Hospital Foundation gala.
On Tuesday, organizers of the annual hospital fundraiser announced the theme to this year’s event on September 17 is – The Wild Wild West.
Old west frontier party goers are invited to wear cowboy hats, gambler shirts, leather belts, cowboy boots, frock coats, bib shirts, saddle seat pants, etc. to the event presented by McDougall Insurance.
2016 Gala Chair Tamara Bricknell, a long term gala committee volunteer said she is thrilled to be the honourary chair.
Special events coordinator Rachel Pearsall said each year this event raises funds to purchase life saving equipment for BGH to ensure that those in the Quinte community can receive quality care, locally.
Last year’s M.A.S.H. themed gala raised $260,000 for cancer care and this year’s goal is $300,000.
