A new headquarters for Quinte West OPP will be up for discussion by Quinte West council Monday.
City staff is suggesting council approve paying the cost of building a new police station on land next to the current OPP headquarters and leasing it back to the OPP.
The estimated cost would be just over 10 million dollars.
If council, Infrastructure Ontario and the OPP agree on the details, it’s possible construction on a new police station could start in 2018.
Quinte West council meets Monday at 6:30 at city hall.
