Members of the public will have an opportunity to hear first hand this week the report of the Trenton Memorial Hospital Implementation Task Force, but the location of the information session has been changed.
The Task Force, mandated by the LHIN to identify opportunities for a co-location model at the Trenton Memorial Hospital site has produced a report scheduled for distribution to organizational boards for review and endorsement and to the South East LHIN board on June 27.
Key recommendations, if agreed upon, include co-locating all or some medical, health, and social services providers into a “hub”, to be built on land located across from Trenton Memorial Hospital, owned by Quinte Health Care.
The long list of service providers includes: Quinte Health Care; Belleville & Quinte West Community Health Centre; Brighton-Quinte West Family Health Team; Victorian Order of Nurse Addictions and Mental Health Services – Hastings and Prince Edward.
The open house is set for Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Duncan MacDonald Memorial Arena.
