Parking on the side of Belleville’s North Park Street could become a thing of the past in the near future.
At its meeting tomorrow, Belleville city council will be asked to approve a by-law banning parking on North Park from Bell Boulevard, south to College Street East.
Taking away the parking will allow for legal bicycle lanes to be created on the street.
The set-up would be the same as seen on Yeomans Street in the west end.
The move is part of Belleville’s ongoing creation of a dedicated cycling route throughout the city.
Belleville council meets tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock at city hall.
