Northumberland OPP say complaints about open liquor, drug use, loitering and general anti-social behaviour have led them to begin a focused patrol in Colborne.
Residents have complained those activities are “disrupting the general tranquility” of the small town.
For the next six weeks you may notice more officers driving, or walking around the town, both in uniform and undercover.
The police force says it will mainly be patrolling areas with higher crime rates or volumes of calls, and any illegal activities or disruptive behaviour will be met with “zero tolerance”.
