It was cause for at least half the room to rise to their feet in a standing ovation. The entire hockey team of the boys’ atom major-B Prince Edward Kings – minus one player – stood before municipal council last night in their jerseys to be honoured….for having won in their category at the Bell Capital Cup in Ottawa earlier this month. Councillor Ray Best arranged for the boys to appear before council. He says the win means more than a trophy and banner from an international tournament. The boys won their division at the 10th annual tournament… which featured 485 teams from as far away as China and Finland.
