Brighton Council has taken the next step in the process of addressing an ongoing doctor shortage in the municipality.
Thursday afternoon, councillors met for a special meeting and struck a committee of council, which will look at further doctor recruitment efforts and initiatives.
Mayor Mark Walas tells Quinte News the committee will include both councillors and citizen representatives.
And he says the committee will operate the same way many others do in the municipality.

Requests for members of the public to submit applications for a spot on the committee are going out almost immediately and the mayor expects the first meeting to happen within a month or so.
