A poverty advocacy group is welcoming a new director.
The Hastings Prince Edward Poverty Roundtable says Christine Durant is their new top boss.
The group was created in 2013 to see what improvements could be made to eliminating poverty in the area.
The goal is to create and implement strategic, long term solutions, for opportunities for everyone.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation has funded a new three year initiative called Creating Communities.
Durant has more than 20 years experience in education, community organization and development.
