It may have been a provincial championship but it was an all local final.
The Trenton Tigers jumped out to a 17-0 first half lead and never looked back defeating the Bayside She-Devils 31-7 to win gold at the OFSAA Girls “AA” Rugby Championships in Ottawa.
Payton Goodfellow, Antoinette Kennedy and Hayley Williams added tries while Lauren Bons added 3 converts.
This is the third straight OFSAA girls rugby championship for Trenton High and 7th in the last 9 years and fifth title for coaches Brian Meindl and Tom Gauthier.
