If you were thinking of getting that motorcycle out for a ride this weekend, tomorrow might be your best bet, since you can help out a good cause at the same time.
Gleaner’s Food Bank in Belleville is hosting its 8th annual Ride For Hunger, with riders taking off from Belleville’s Market Hall just before noon.
Gleaner’s Susanne Quinlan says there could be hundreds of riders taking a trip down to Prince Edward County and then back to the Friendly City for lunch.
Quinlan adds, members of the public are welcome to drop by as well, once the ride is finished, because there’s all kinds of fun stuff going on.
The most the event has raised in a year is $8,000, so organizers are hoping to get as close to that as possible.
