Two canoeists have been pulled to safety from the wilderness near Red Lake, Ontario.
The pair felt threatened by a nearby forest fire and set off an emergency locator beacon yesterday.
A Hercules aircraft from Winnipeg and a chopper from Portage La Prairie flew to the area and rescued them safely this morning
