The ultimate dance showdown is just around the corner.
Local celebrities are gearing up for the 9th annual Volunteer Information Quinte Dancing With The Stars at the Yardmen Arena on May 27.
Executive Director Brenda Snider says they are hoping their major fundraiser brings in $30,000 as it allows VIQ to provide programs and services to youth and seniors, plus over 260 agencies within the community.
VIQ spokeswoman Dianne Coyle says she’s excited to see the 16 spectacular local celebrities compete for the mirror-ball trophy and bragging rights.
Quinte Broadcasting’s own Nicole Kleinsteuber, her partner Brice McVicar of the Belleville Intelligencer and their dance instructor Lisa Sinclair appeared on Mix 97 with Sean Kelly Friday morning.
Sinclair says it’s been an incredible journey working with Kleinsteuber and McVicar.
Kleinsteuber also sat down with Devin Bellinger on 800AM CJBQ’s The Community Hour and spoke about the how the team’s dancing dynamic has transformed.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.)
