Good news for Brighton residents, who use the municipal water system.
A boil water advisory that went into effect on Monday has been lifted.
The ban was put in place while some routine maintenance was done on the system.
The water had to be tested for quality before the ban could be lifted.
A release from Mayor Mark Walas this afternoon says all water samples taken on Tuesday and Wednesday morning tested negative for e. coli and total chloroform.
If your taps have been off for a few days, you might want to run them for a few minutes before you start using your water again.
