People have a chance to get rid of old unused medicine at a special drop off centre in Belleville this weekend.
It’s a province-wide, public safety initiative to encourage residents to dispose of old and unused prescription medication in a secure manner.
Belleville city police will be hosting a prescription drug drop off day on Saturday.
Staff Sargent Sheri Meeks says it’s an important issue.
The collection location is at 93 Dundas Street east, the Belleville Police Service Safety Village.
It will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.
