Quinte West council will discuss whether or not to try to silence the trains passing through a west end
Trenton neighborhood at its meeting tonight.
Residents living on and near Second Dug Hill Road have presented council with a petition asking that CN stop having its personnel blow the train horns as they roll through.
However, in a report to council, staff write that both the city’s lawyer and insurance company don’t see any good coming from an anti-whistle bylaw.
Quinte West council meets at 6:30 tonight at city hall.
