The volunteer board of directors at a non-profit housing complex in Bancroft has walked out and the Hastings-Quinte social services department has stepped in to determine what happens next.
The North Hastings Non-Profit Housing has 57 family units.
Executive director Steve Gatward told the joint social services committee Wednesday that staff members have been meeting with the residents.
Gatward says the issue occurred in the past week and his department has started an operational review.
The next step will be determined once the review is completed.
The social services department handles the provincial funding for the Housing Corporation.
