As the weather warms and more people start spending more time outdoors, Quinte Conservation wants to spark the talk on ticks again.
The little black bugs can attach themselves to humans and animals and sometimes cause Lyme Disease, which is cause for concern, as they’re found in a number of Quinte Conservation-managed areas.
Quinte Conservation’s Jennifer May-Anderson says the event involves a presentation from local Public Health Inspector Aptie Sookoo.
And she says it’s an important discussion to have, since the local health unit has confirmed the presence of ticks in some Quinte Conservation areas.
