The Trenton Golden Hawks have etched their name on the Buckland Cup as OJHL champions. They have won the Dudley-Hewitt Cup as Central Canadian champions. That leaves one more to go.
On Saturday the Golden Hawks begin their quest for the RBC Cup and the National Junior “A” Hockey Championship. Joining Trenton in Lloydminster Alberta/Sasktchewan will be the Carleton Place Canadians, the West Kelowna Warriors, the Brooks Alberta Bandits and the host Lloydminster Bobcats. This will be Trenton’s first appearance in the RBC Cup.
Trenton opens the tournament against Brooks on Saturday afternoon at 5:30 eastern time. This is the Golden Hawks’ first trip to the Nationals.
