It was the first time a World Floorball Championship was held in North America but it likely won’t be the last. Three attendance records were set. The 33 matches drew a new high of 15,800 fans which also raised the average number per game. A single game record of 3151 was set in the opening match between Canada and Japan. This has been a 3 year project for event organizer Brett Davis and he couldn’t be happier.
Davis would not rule out the possibility of applying for other World Championships in the future, but understandably didn’t want to think about that today.
