Northumberland OPP have released the identity of the boy killed in a collision involving a dump truck yesterday afternoon.
At 3:35 p.m. the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on County Road 45 near Coyle Road involving a southbound dump truck and a pedestrian.
No other vehicles were involved.
The pedestrian, an 11 year old boy, was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance with life threatening injuries and later succumbed to those injuries.
The 11-year-old has now been identified as Zane Baird of Alnwick – Haldimand Twp ON.
The police are requesting that everyone provide the family privacy during this time.
