The City of Belleville is in talks with a private partner to build a convention centre in the city.
During his state of the city address, Mayor Taso Christopher talked about recent meetings the city has had, with the unnamed partner.
Christopher says they have certain requirements they would need in a location.
During Wednesday morning’s address, Christopher also discussed the expansion of the 401, the possible arrival of a new company in the industrial park and much more.
