It’s steady as she goes as far as the City of Belleville’s credit rating is concerned.
Standard and Poor’s rated Belleville’s at AA-.
The rating agency says the city has exceptional liquidity, an average budgetary performance, and will have no
problem paying the debt that it owes.
In a recent press release, Standard and Poor’s labels Belleville’s outlook as stable with just an average economic performance.
The agency says economic growth will continue to be restrained by low population growth, an older population, a lower than average income and a higher than average unemployment rate.
