If city council helps out, there could be some skating downtown this summer.
The Belleville Downtown Business Improvement Area hopes the city will close a parking lot
so it can install a synthetic ice rink July 14 through 17.
Hockey schools, public skating, entertainment, and a vendors area would be part of what will be
called the Summer Skate Fest.
Belleville city council meets at 4 Monday afternoon.
