With a meeting of Build Belleville officials and downtown stakeholders set for this evening, many questions about the changes to Phase 2 continue.
Tuesday morning, Belleville’s Director of Engineering and Development Rod Bovay was on the Lorne Brooker Show to talk about the changes proposed by the contractor, Len Corcoran Excavating of Kingston.
Bovay says just because the new changes to the work means an earlier finish, it does not mean it will cost less.
The stretch of Front Street between Victoria and Campbell Street is going to be closed to traffic for the entire summer.
Original plans had it closed in September and October.
The information meeting will be held at the Build Belleville offices on Pinnacle Street, starting at 5:30 p.m Wednesday April 20, 2016.
