A major highway in Prince Edward County is number one, but not really in a positive way.
County Road 49, linking Deseronto to Picton is, at least for the moment, sitting at the top of the
CAA’s annual Worst Roads List for South Central Ontario.
County Mayor Robert Quaiff has been lobbying the provincial government for funding support to fix up
the highway ever since taking office, and a picture of him sitting with chunks of concrete pulled from the road has been widely circulated.
Voting for Worst Roads continues until April 29.
