The Belleville Police Service responded to 53 calls for service between April 17th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m. and April 18th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario – On April 17th, 2016, at 7:52 a.m. police attended at a business on Hwy 62 in relation to a report of a break and enter. On April 17th, 2016, at 10:41 a.m. police attended at an apartment on Benjamin Street in relation to a break and enter complaint. The homeowner was in the process of providing a list of missing items from the apartment.
On April 17th, 2016, at 9:29 p.m. police attended at a business on Old Hwy 2 in relation to an alarm call. Entry had been gained into the business and cash was taken. The Forensic Identification Section processed the scene and the investigation is continuing. On April 18th, 2016, at 12:11 a.m. police attended at a construction site in the City’s north end in relation to a break and enter. Disturbance
Belleville, Ontario – On April 17th, 2016, at 7:06 p.m. officers attended on Geddes Street as several males were involved in disturbance. Two males were taken into custody at the scene. One male was released unconditionally at the scene while a 22-year old Belleville man was charged with two counts of breach of an undertaking. He will appear in court on May 26th, 2016. Alcohol was a factor in this incident. No one was injured.
