Parents of local kids with autism were out to gather support today, as they held a rally at a major Belleville intersection.
About 50 people were at North Front Street and Bell Boulevard to show displeasure with a recent government move to scale back intensive behavioural services for young autistic kids.
Organinzer and parent of two autistic kids, Stephanie Reid, says kids who are five and older will no longer be eligible for the services.
Under the new rules, the government will provide $8,000 to all families with autistic kids, but Reid says IBI costs $30,000 to$40,000 annually.
