The Championship round of the Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs begins tonight in Trenton.
The League leading Golden Hawks host the South-West Conference champion Georgetown Raiders to kick off the best of 7 series for the Buckland Cup and the right to advance to the Dudley-Hewitt Cup in Kirkland Lake.
Despite two intense series against division rivals Wellington and Kingston and a 9 day layoff, Hawks coach and general manager Jerome Dupont isn’t worried about a letdown against a team they played just once during the season.
Dupont explains the Raiders style of play.
Game time is 7:30 at the Dunc McDonald Community Gardens. Game 2 is tomorrow in Georgetown. CJBQ will broadcast all games for Dow’s Climate Care.
