The cause of a reported explosion in north end Belleville was due to open air burning.
Around 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, emergency crews were called to 63 Sunningdale Drive, after neighbours saw smoke and heard an explosion moments earlier.
A neighbour was using a large burn barrel and a flammable liquid, which caused the bang and the visible smoke.
Fire Chief Mark MacDonald says you need a permit and you need to be safe.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
