OPP are putting out a warning about drinking and riding ATVs, after a Brighton man was seriously injured in a crash on Sunday evening.
Just before 6:00 p.m., officers responded to private property near Evergreen Lane, where the rider had flipped his ATV and suffered a serious, but non-life threatening injury.
After being treated at hospital the driver, 52 year-old Robert Scott of Brighton, was charged with impaired care and control of a vehicle and will be in Brighton Court on May 3rd.
OPP say investigations into off road vehicle crashes involving death or injury, show that alcohol consumption, lack of experience, high speed and not wearing a helmet are all major factors.
