The Wellington Dukes may have been eliminated from the OJHL playoffs, but the team’s leading scorer has recieved a major accolade.
19 year-old Napanee-born forward Luc Brown has been named the league’s Most Valuable Player, after putting up 42 goals and 91 points for the Dukes this season.
Brown, who has committed to the NCAA Union College Dutchmen next season, had 11 game winning goals and was involved in nearly half of the Dukes’ conference leading 202 goals.
He also had a league high eight game goal scoring streak, which started at the end of November and was named the conference’s player of the month in November and January.
Trenton netminder Daniel Urbani was voted as the runner up for the MVP award.
