The Trenton Golden Hawks are going to get some time off….but not as much as Kingston.
The Hawks scored 3 on the power play to beat the Voyageurs 3-2 to sweep the OJHL’s North-East Conference Championship. Defenceman Adam Clements scored the winner with two assists and goaltender Daniel Urbani turned away 25 shots incuding a 3rd period penalty shot. Urbani says the Hawks played with confidence.
Trenton forward and Belleville native Hunter Fargey says the game plan was simple.
Golden Hawks Coach and General Manager Jerome Dupont says it was a great game.
Carson Brookshaw and Josh Allen also scored for the Hawks.
Trenton will play the winner of the Georgetown-Burlington series in the Buckland Cup final. That won’t start until late next week.
