The Belleville Police Service has set its budget for this year.
The total budget is close to 16.5 million dollars, a 2.63 percent increase over
last year’s approved budget.
The operating part of the budget totals 15 million dollars. Capital spending is $468,000 and
one million dollars has again been set aside to help with the cost of a new police headquarters.
Belleville city council holds special budget meetings this coming Tuesday and Thursday.
