A 46-year-old Belleville woman has been charged with aggravated assault following a violent domestic incident on Good Friday.
Belleville Police Inspector Chirs Barry confirms a man was stabbed with a knife by his female partner on March 25.
Officers responded to the home at 425 Bleeker Avenue around 1:30 p.m. after a report of a disturbance.
Both the man and woman were taken to hospital. The man was transferred to Kingston General Hospital with serious injuries.
Barry couldn’t comment on the man’s condition but says the accused was released from custody with an April 11 court date.
No names will be released and the incident remains under investigation.
