Belleville native Anthony Popovich will begin his OHL career with the Guelph Storm next season.
The 16 year old Quinte Red Devils graduate was a 7th round pick of Guelph last April but spent the season with the Wellington Dukes where he appeared in 15 games with 2.34 goals against average and .908 save percentage.
Dukes G.M.-Coach Marty Abrams says “we’re very excited for Anthony and his family on his commitment to the Guelph Storm. He had a terrific rookie season with us and he deserves this opportunity in the OHL.”
