A recent ski accident at Batawa is prompting skiers and snowboarders to think twice about “not” wearing a helmet. A 35-year old man remains in serious condition at KGH after hitting his head on the Long John Run on Sunday. Bob Hinton of College Sports in Belleville say helmets are a critical piece of safety gear….and they’re comfortable too…
Hinton says helmets run from 59-to-129 dollars and notes…about 80 percent of skiers already use them.
