Another 18 new houses are going up in Quinte West.
Chief Building Official Ron Wardaugh says 47 permits, including approvals for the 18 homes, were issued last month for construction activity worth 6.2-million dollars. The largest project is the new one-million dollar liquor store on Front Street in Trenton.
Wardaugh says there has been 26-million dollars in building activity in Quinte West so far this year, compared to 24.3-million at this time in 2009.
