It was the warmest April on record in the Quinte Area.
An official at the C-F-B Trenton Weather Office says the average high last month was 16.1 degrees. That beats the old record of 14.7, set in April, 1955.
There was 26.4 millimetres of rain at Eight Wing, compared to the average of 71 millimetres, but nowhere near the record of 10.4 millimetres in 2001. There was also one centimetre of snow, five less than usual.
