The weather had a bit of a negative impact, but officials at Presqu’ile Provincial Park are calling the annual Waterfowl Weekend another success.
Park Naturalist David Bree tells Quinte News, about 8,000 migratory ducks visited the Brighton park last weekend, but a lack of ice on the bay made them somewhat tough to spot.
Bree says the next big bird watching event happens on the May long weekend, when some of our smaller feathered friends will return from the south.
