Police raids are being carried out across Belgium today as police look for suspects in the blasts at the airport and a metro station killing more than 30 people and wounding nearly 200.
Quinte News received a phone call from a Quinte area woman working in Brussels amid the terror.
A former resident of Carrying Place, Jeannie Keogh, called from Brussels where she had been in lock-down at work all day, five minutes from the bombing at metro station European Institutions, and was heading home on her bicycle.
Keogh comments on the people of Brussels marching on the streets after the bombings.
Keogh, a graduate of Centennial Secondary School, says she lives about 20 minutes from the site of the recent raids that captured the suspected leader of the Paris attacks.
