Prince Edward County Council is backing a community group’s efforts to see if a new recreation/aquatics facility would be a good idea for the County.
However, Council’s Committee of the Whole stopped short of offering any money to the group to get started.
Council is giving it’s seal of approval so the group can apply to various funding sources to pay for a 30 thousand dollar feasability study to see if a new rec plex would work in Prince Edward County.
The group had asked for some money, but Committee felt that there was no more in the budget for this year.
