We’re learning more about a car chase through Prince Edward County this morning.
OPP tried to stop a suspected impaired driver near Big Island around 7:20, but the car sped away, leading officers to stop the chase.
A car was reported stolen from the Wellington Arena not long after and officers engaged the suspect vehicle in another chase along the Loyalist Parkway, until the driver lost control near Huyck’s Point Road and crashed into a ditch.
The 29 year-old driver, a Kingston man, was treated by paramedics and transferred into police custody.
He’s facing numerous charges and will appear in Picton Court for a bail hearing Thursday.
