The Quinte KKP Red Devils have played their way into the OHL Cup “AAA” Minor Midget Hockey tournament.
The Red Devils defeated the Vaughan Kings 4-2 in yesterday’s “Play-In Game”. Nathan Dunkley and Dawson Baker scored two goals.
Quinte joins 19 other teams from Ontario in the annual Showcase Tournament in Toronto. They face the Toronto Marlies at noon today.
Meanwhile Red Devils head coach Pat Shearer will leave the program after 7 seasons to become the head coach of the Pickering Panthers of the OJHL. He’ll be joined on the Panthers bench by another long time Quinte coach Todd Reid.
