The Trenton Memorial Hospital Implementation Task Force will soon be zeroing in on
freshly made schematic floor plans of the vacant space at TMH.
The Task Force continues to work on developing some sort of “health hub” for that space.
At an upcoming meeting, the healthcare organizations on the Task Force will propose how
much floor space they might need if they decide to become part of the hub.
Meanwhile, members want it known that participation in the hub could be open to organizations other than
those involved on the Task Force at this time.
Task Force members will also be relieved to know if and when a proposed Veterans Mental Health Services
Centre would be involved in the hub, and how much space it would need.
Local MPP Lou Rinaldi is working MPs Neil Ellis and Kim Rudd, and a presentation regarding the Veterans
Centre will be going to the federal government before the end of the month.
Healthcare providers on the Task Force are the VON, the Belleville Quinte West Community Health Centre,
the Brighton Quinte West Family Health Team, the Southeast Community Care Access Centre, and Addictions
and Mental Health Services.
