The Belleville Police Service is getting set for some community outreach events to give residents a chance to voice their concerns and give ideas on development of a Community Safety Plan.
Deputy Chief Ron Gignac says staff will spend the next couple of weeks narrowing down dates, times and topics and then all of that information will be released to the public.
He’s calling the two town hall meetings crucial pieces in the development of the Community Safety Plan and says officers and staff at the department are looking forward to engaging with the community and hearing their thoughts and ideas.
As part of the process, the department will also partner with the Loyalist College Journalism Program to conduct a community survey this month as well.
