Hastings County has completed its source water protection plan and submitted it to the Ministry of Environment.
Quinte Conservation and Lower Trent Conservation both helped with the preparation of the report, required by the province to protect drinking water in Hastings County.
Planning director Justin Harrow says it applies to Deseronto, Tweed, Centre Hastings, Stirling-Rawdon, and Marmora and Lake have either intake or well systems.
The county acts as planner but the municipalities have their responsibilities.
