Assault
Belleville, Ontario – On March 7th, 2016, at 11:08 p.m. police attended at a North Front Street motel with regards to a disturbance. A 25-year old Belleville man was arrested for assaulting a woman. During the arrest the suspect kicked one of the officers in the leg and spat at another officer. No one required medical attention. The male was held for a bail hearing on March 8th on charges of Domestic Assault and Assaulting a Police Officer.
Traffic Complaint
Belleville, Ontario – On March 7th, 2016, at 8:30 a.m. a motorist on Mary Street failed to stop for a school bus. The bus had activated its lights and stop sign. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver car. This incident may have been witnessed by the driver of a pick-up truck who had stopped for the school bus. Theft from cars
Belleville, Ontario – On March 8th, 2016, at 3:45 a.m. police arrested a male suspect in the area of Victoria Ave. and John St. The suspect is believed to be responsible for a number of thefts from cars in the east end overnight. Other reports were taken on Great St. James St. and Alexander St. There is a possibility that the suspect discarded a coat during his travels and picked up a light-coloured blanket.
